Well, It's been just about two weeks since I moved out of my last apartment and into this new one and things seem to be going well. I'm no longer being bombarded by the same track of songs off a playlist of hardcore music at ear damaging levels or the constant smell of burning THC. I'm more or less getting along well with my new roommates and, best of all, I finally have some alone time again! I swear, I was on such a similar schedule with my old roommates that I had hardly any time to myself. For someone who likes to wonder around aimlessly and think out loud, this can really start to wear on you.

I've got some complaints, namely that it does seem as though the last tenants of this place were kind of rough on it and it seems to be taking Collegate Housing forever to get around to fixing the broken things around here like the blinds, the fireplace(yeah, this place has one. How weird is that?) and one of my drawers. It also has no microwave, unlike the last two places I was at and currently has no internet. Well, technically it does but, we're uh, kinda sorta stealing it. To be fair, I think it's actually free internet provided by the apartment complex since the network is just called linksys and it seems no matter where you are or in what building it's always there.

Anyways, my classes this term are boring as all hell. Psychology is finally starting to pick up, though we spent much of the first two week learning things fairly irrelevant to an introductory psych course and more suited to a biology or human anatomy course. MSV2 on the other hand is kind of dull. It's all just learning about editing really, which would be fine had we not had one class that seemed more appropriate to a physics lecture (I'm noticing a disturbing pattern here), but lab is so boring I end up spending most of my time wandering around trying to kill time. Basically, it has consisted of one of us sitting at the computer editing our scene, which is engaging when you're the one editing, while everyone else sits around trying not to die of boredom and gives some advice on the rare occasion that the person turns around and asks everyone for their opinion. I wasn't there the last day of filming and it seems my group forgot a fair number of things and it got pretty bad in places. It isn't ruining the film, but it's really annoying me and I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not being home a day earlier was worth missing that day of shooting.

Also, since I'm bitching about things right now, I may as well mention that my desk has begun squeaking and it's really annoying. I think all the vibrations from when I was moving is what caused it since I was using it as a dolly at the time to move things. It happens mostly when the thing shakes at all...like when I'm typing on my keyboard! It's been squeaking a lot while I've been writing this and it's driving me nuts!

Oh well, on to more positive things, like Thanksgiving Break! It technically begins Wednesday 25th but I'll be returning home the night of Tuesday 24th. Looking forward to seeing everybody again and to Thanksgiving dinner!

P.S. Jeff, if you're reading this; is there a reset button on Pokemon Pyrite? I'm trying to get a starter with at least halfway decent IVs and it would be nice if I didn't have to keep closing and opening the program to do it.
